Description: The film is jumbled, with the title appearing some time after the start. It opens with two FBA Hydroplanes riding at moorings, silhouetted against the sunset on the water. The captions explain how useful aircraft are for reconnaissance. (The title appears at this point.) The aerodrome is shown, with no aircraft visible. A Spad 17 fighter comes in to land. The pilot and observer of a two-seater (too close for identification) after landing. Inside the squadron dark-room the prints are developed. Outside, groundcrew check the aerial cameras and plates. Two photographs of German trenches taken from 13,000 feet are shown. The photographs are identified against a large map. Officers discuss a new operation, using the photographs as an aid to planning.
